XLN Telecom Named ‘Service Business of the Year’ Finalist in the Fast Growth Business Awards 2010

Published 9th March 2010

XLN Telecom, the UK’s leading telecoms company serving the small business community, is pleased to announce it has been named one of three finalists in the ‘Service Business of the Year’ category of the Fast Growth Business Awards 2010.

Now in their fourth year, the Fast Growth Business Awards are run in conjunction with Growing Business magazine and celebrate the very best of the UK’s most ambitious businesses. Entrants in the awards must demonstrate overall growth and success, those businesses in the ‘Service Business of the Year’ category also being judged on whether or not they provide a service that their customers value.

This year’s 10-strong judging panel for the awards includes successful business entrepreneurs and business experts including Ariadne Capital founder and CEO Julie Meyer, and King of Shaves founder Will King, whose company was last year’s overall winner.

XLN Telecom was founded in 2002 and is now the UK’s largest independent provider of telecom services to small businesses in Britain – its customer numbers increasing 25% to over 125,000 during the last twelve months. Headquartered in Lambeth, the company employs over 150 staff and handles all customer service matters from its Vauxhall offices.

Christian Nellemann, Group CEO of XLN Telecom, commented:
“We are delighted that once again XLN has received a nomination for service – it’s the cornerstone of our business and an accolade for our team. Our employees make it possible for us to provide small businesses with the highest levels of customer service – and for this we are grateful.”

On 23 February 2010, XLN Telecom was awarded a certificate of commendation in the ‘Best Employer’ category of the 2010 Lambeth Business Awards, where it was also a finalist in the ‘Best Customer Service’ category. In addition, the company was named a finalist in the 2009 National Business Awards for Customer Focus in November last year.

The Fast Growth Business Awards 2010 awards ceremony will be held on 14 April 2010 at the London Marriott, Grosvenor Square.
